Singapore company questions
Separate governance, banking and business permission requirements.
Can a member of our team act as a director?
Review the proposed person's circumstances, applicable appointment conditions and actual duties. Do not treat a nominal appointment as freedom from responsibility.
Must we travel to Singapore to open a business bank account?
The bank determines the verification arrangements for the application. Prepare genuine business, ownership and identity records; remote processing and account approval are not guaranteed.
What should a digital-asset or financial business check first?
Check permissions, operating and banking requirements for the actual activities. Registration is not permission for every business activity, and structures must not bypass regulatory review.
Can a Singapore company be registered remotely?
The incorporation process can usually be progressed remotely through ACRA’s Bizfile. Foreign applicants must engage a registered corporate service provider and arrange at least one locally resident director plus a Singapore registered office. Banking, work passes and regulated licences are reviewed separately and may require video verification, original documents or attendance.
